Tim founded Symsource in 2004 after 3 years sourcing cutting edge technology for Symbian for inclusion in Symbian OS. With the growing prevalence of open mobile phones, and having always been fascinated by the potential of mobile computing, Tim saw the perfect opportunity to launch a new business, building upon the foundation laid in the smartphone platforms to provide truly innovative, easy and fun to use applications. Combining confident commercial experience with a broad technical knowledge base, Tim has the rare skill of making technology relevant to everyone, in terms that emphasise the benefits - the why, rather than the how. He is also a proponent of applying Deming's lean thinking ideology to software systems engineering. Tim holds a MEng in Computer Systems Engineering from Lancaster University, is a scholarship graduate of the intensive Advanced Course in Design, Manufacture and Management at Cambridge University and also holds an Engineering Leadership Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering.
